Benefits Of Electronic Music In Culture

Posted by shbanchang on February 3, 2012

Electronic Music covers a wide variety of the usual electronic compositions. Advancements in technology have greatly contributed in all genres of music. Use of digital audio stations, synthesizers, computers, drum machines, sequencers and other electronic musical instruments has completely revolutionized styles used in composing songs. This has led to emergence of fusion genres that combine two or more genres in song composition.

Instrumentation

This genre of composition comprises a wide variety of existing electronic compositions. In production of electronic compositions, modern electronic musical instruments and emerging music production technologies are applied. This solely involves use of computers, modern sound synthesizers and sequencers. Recent software technologies such as beat makers further make it easier to record beats and songs from any location.

Everyone Does It

Electronica music can also be regarded as a fusion genre that merges two or more genres. This is because a wide range of musical acts and styles have used electronic sounds to produce fusion. Hip hop fusion resulted from use of electronically influenced sounds in producing songs. More appealing song versions of hip hop and R&B have been recorded by musicians who incorporate electronic sounds.

Remixing

Reggae artists have created remixes using electronic related sounds that have resulted to reggaetons and riddims. There has been growing world recognition of fusion sounds. This has made fusion sounds to become an essential part in most reggae and hip hop composition. Most artists have incorporated such sounds in their tracks.

Any Type Of Use

Unlike electronic dance compositions which are essentially created for dancing purposes, electronica compositions have been designed for a wide variety of uses. They can be played in the background when certain activities are taking place or for foreground listening. Electronic related genres have become very common to headphone users, earphone users and in chill out zones mainly visited by teenagers.

Evolving Sounds

Electronic dance music is specifically meant for dancing purposes and is mainly played in raves. Rave is a culture of hanging out at night and has spread worldwide becoming a field of interest to most researchers. Raves have been criticized since persons in attendance mainly teenagers abuse hard drugs and involve in careless sexual practices. A new genre called Dubstep Music is proof of evolving sounds.

Electronic Dance Music (EDM)

Genres common in record stores such as jazz, techno, rap, hip hop among others mainly rely on production styles and techniques that originated from use of electronic musical instruments and associated technologies. Compositions of recognized electric artists have been used by famous mainstream musicians as background sounds in their songs. Such songs have taken hip hop musicians to great heights enabling them to make huge cash from highly attended concerts.

Modern Electronica Music is mainly for listening and not for dancing purposes. Most TV advertisements have electronic background sound effects which are also common in automobiles. Video game sound effects are developed from famous and largely accepted soundtracks. Business products advertised on street billboards and neon signs use electronic related sound effects. This has largely advertised this type of genre in most parts of the world. I like Dubstep Music a lot. people use Ableton Live to create electronic music.
